Hazel is a highly skilled and dedicated swimmer, with over 19 years of competitive experience. She has represented New Zealand on the world stage at the Commonwealth Games, Olympic Games, and World Championships. Originally beginning her aquatic journey at Te Awamutu Swimming Club, Hazel has strong ties to the Waikato community, even since moving to the Auckland Region in 2018 to fully pursue her journey as a high performance swimmer.

With six years of teaching and coaching experience, Hazel is dedicated to helping others dive in and find their confidence, whether they're just starting out or aiming for the podium. Though she is especially proficient in providing technical tips and advice surrounding butterfly and backstroke, Hazel is well versed in the techniques of all strokes. 

Having trained in both club and high-performance environments, Hazel is flexible in her approach to assisting others with their swimming skills, as she understands there can be more than one way to learn something new or achieve a goal.
